Vol. 209 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Five-Day Week for Forestry Workers.

62.

asked the Minister for Lands if he proposes to introduce a five day week for all forestry workers employed at State forests; and, if so, when.

63.

asked the Minister for Lands when he proposes to implement the 45-hour, five-day week in respect of forestry workers, having regard to the fact that all county council labourers and other public servants do not work more than a 45-hour week.

I propose with the Ceann Comhairle's permission to take Questions Nos. 62 and 63 together.

Examination of this matter, which has wide implications, has not yet been completed. I hope a final decision will be possible in the very near future.
