Vol. 209 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Industries.

41.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if there are at present any proposals before his Department for the establishment in Limerick city or county of new industries, other than the German industry for which buildings are already being erected.

42.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if there is at present any proposal before his Department for the establishment in Limerick of an industry to manufacture prefabricated buildings; and, if not, whether any proposal for such an industry in Limerick has, in fact, ever been submitted to his Department for sanction.

I propose, with the permission of An Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 41 and 42 together

No proposal for the manufacture in Limerick of prefabricated buildings has been brought to my notice. I am aware of three industrial projects, including the other project to which the Deputy refers, in relation to Limerick city and county. One of these has commenced production but the construction of the factory has not yet been completed.
