Vol. 209 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authority Rehousing Qualifications.

48.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will have circulated to Members all instructions issued to managers of local authorities regarding (1) the qualifications necessary for persons to be eligible for rehousing by the local authorities, and (2) the different qualifications necessary for (a) full subsidy and (b) smaller subsidy.

As housing policy generally will be reviewed in the forthcoming Housing Bill, the present would not, in my opinion, be an opportune time to arrange as suggested.

Has the Minister any idea when the Bill will be introduced?

I have an idea.

Could he tell us?

There would be no point in that.

The Minister wishes to keep it to himself?
