Vol. 209 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telegraphic Facilities in Walkinstown (Dublin) Post Office.

69.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, having regard to the need for telegraphic facilities in Walkinstown Post Office, Dublin, he will have them provided at an early date to avoid any further inconvenience for the people of the area.

The number of telegrams likely to be handed in at Walkinstown post office would not be sufficient to justify the provision of telegraph facilities there.

Mr. Ryan

May I take it that the Minister is basing his reply on the fact that the increases in telegraphic charges are likely to discourage them in future?

The Deputy need not take that at all.

Mr. Ryan

No doubt the Minister had it in mind.
