Vol. 209 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilkenny District Nursing Association.

9.

asked the Minister for Health whether he has received a letter from the Bennettsbridge and Stoneyford District Nursing Association, County Kilkenny, with regard to the desirability of maintaining the Queen's Institute of District Nursing, and the determination of the Bennettsbridge Association to continue to maintain the district nursing service in their area; and whether he will accede to the Association's request that he come to the aid of the Queen's Institute and so enable them to carry on their work.

I have received a letter from the Bennettsbridge and Stoneyford District Nursing Association and have replied assuring them that, consistent with my obligations to the Exchequer, I am prepared to do what I can to encourage the Queen's Institute of District Nursing to remain in being.
