Vol. 210 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Assistance Officers.

41.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether it has been recommended that the two existing part-time assistance officer posts at Glenflesk and Coam (Rathmore), County Kerry should be made one full-time post; and, if so, when he proposes to approve this recommendation.

Proposals for a general reorganisation of the assistance districts in County Kerry, including the amalgamation of the Glenflesk and Rathmore districts, have been made to my Department. They are at present the subject of correspondence with the local authority, and a decision is likely at an early date.
