Committee on Finance. - Transport Bill, 1964— Money Resolution

I move:—

That for the purpose of any Act of the present session to make further provision in relation to transport it is expedient to authorise:—

(1) the advance from time to time to Córas Iompair Éireann, out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof, of such sums (not exceeding in the aggregate six million pounds) as the Minister for Finance thinks proper towards the cost of defraying expenditure incurred by the Board which is properly chargeable to capital;

(2) the charge on and payment out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof of the principal of and interest on all securities issued by the Minister for Finance for the purpose of borrowing under such Act and the expenses incurred in connection with the issue of such securities;

(3) the making to Córas Iompair Éireann out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas in the financial year of the Board beginning on the 1st day of April, 1964 and in each subsequent financial year of the Board a grant of two million pounds; or as respect any financial year of the Board beginning on or after the 1st day of April, 1969, such other sum, as may be fixed by order in accordance with such Act;

(4) the treatment as a non-repayable grant of the sum of one million pounds advanced to Córas Iompair Éireann under section 13 of the Transport Act, 1963; and

(5) the payment out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas of the expenses incurred in the administration of such Act.
