asked the Minister for Education the amount of capitation grant paid in each of the school years 1926-63, and the amount provided for in the Estimates for 1964-65, in respect of (a) each junior secondary pupil and (b) each senior secondary pupil who has made a sufficient number of days to qualify for the maximum grant, and the equivalent of the grant per pupil actually paid or payable in constant 1926, 1947 and 1964 prices for each of the years 1926-64, the constant prices being based on the continuous price index of the Central Statistics Office, base, 1914=100.

The information sought by the Deputy in the first part of the question is as follows:—
