Vol. 211 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meath Water Scheme Engineers.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of engineers engaged on group water schemes in County Meath who are employed by his Department.

Two engineers are engaged on a part-time basis for inspecting and advising on these schemes.

Would the Minister be able to say if these two engineers also cover two or three other counties as well as Meath?

I think so, yes.

Then, in fact, the Minister's reply would not be quite correct. It would be a very small proportion of the time of the two engineers.

The Minister said they were engaged on a part-time basis.

I thought the Taoiseach was looking for engineers.
