I intend to make the necessary regulations under section 10 of the Act this month. These regulations will prescribe the fees to be paid to solicitors and counsel for legal aid work as well as the general procedure which will govern the scheme. When the regulations are made the scheme of free legal aid will be brought into operation with all possible speed.
