Vol. 212 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Newpark (Kilkenny) Housing.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the present position regarding proposals sent to his Department by Kilkenny County Council for the erection of new houses at Newpark.

No firm proposal for the erection of houses at Newpark has been submitted by the Kilkenny County Council. Two alternative sketch layouts were furnished, providing for 8 and 10 houses respectively. It is a matter for the housing authority to decide in the first instance the size of the scheme they propose to provide and they have been asked to do so. In order to facilitate their consideration of the matter they have been supplied with the observations of the Department's technical advisers on both layouts.
