Vol. 212 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Pedestrian Crossing.

33.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government when work on the erection of a controlled pedestrian crossing at Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin will (a) commence and (b) be completed; and the cost thereof; and if, having regard to the urgent need for such a crossing, he will have the matter expedited.

I understand that a contract has been signed by the Dublin Corporation for the provision of pedestrian lights at a number of locations including the Town Hall, Rathmines. The cost of the Rathmines lights will be £565. I cannot say at present when the work at Rathmines will commence or be completed.
