Vol. 212 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reference Numbers in Post Office Correspondence.

73.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why the Inland and Foreign Post Section of his Department fails to quote the reference number of addresses in correspondence; and if he will ensure that all sections of his Department will oblige correspondents in future by quoting their references.

It is the standard practice in all sections of my Department to quote the correspondents' reference numbers in every reply issued. If in a particular instance a reference number was not quoted this was due to an oversight.
