asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the capitation fee payable to medical officers in respect of each employee under the post office medical scheme, and the nature of the services provided by the medical officers.

The capitation fee payable to Post Office medical officers is 33s. 6d a year in the case of staff employed at or near a head post office and 38s. 0d a year in all other cases. The nature of the service provided is that which general practitioners give their patients in the course of ordinary practice.
