Vol. 213 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Tipperary River.

11.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding drainage of the Multeen River with particular reference to the Bishopston (Dundrum) area, County Tipperary.

The Multeen River lies in the River Suir catchment area and will be considered for inclusion in the proposed drainage scheme for that area. The engineering survey of the catchment is in progress but, as I have already told the Deputy, because of the great volume of preparatory work still to be done, it is unlikely that works in the catchment can start before 1970.
