Vol. 213 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Curing and Marketing of Bacon.

29.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if his attention has been drawn to a recent television interview on the curing and marketing of Irish bacon, with particular reference to Limerick bacon, in which allegations were made about various faults in the curing and marketing of this bacon; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed that such a television interview did take place recently.

As regards the standard of Irish bacon, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a question by Deputy Clinton on 11th November.
