Vol. 213 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign-Made Drip Mats.

8.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the large number of foreign-made drip mats for beer and other drinks at present being used to advertise Irish made drinks; and if he will, in pursuance of the present Buy Irish campaign, encourage Irish brewers and drink manufacturers to use Irish-made mats for this type of advertisement.

I understand that productive capacity for the manufacture of these drip mats is being expanded and that it is expected that, next year, it will reach the point at which full requirements can be met from home sources. At present the bulk of home requirements cannot be met except by imports.
