I am informed by CIE that it is impossible to be precise at this stage as to what redundancy, if any, may arise at Spa Road Workshops on the completion in 1966 of the present programme for the assembly of single-deck buses. The workers can, however, be absolutely assured that before any redundancy is likely to arise the matter will be fully discussed with their unions with a view to arranging retraining or reallocation or compensation for any men who may be affected.
