Vol. 213 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Servicing of Dublin Road.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will urge the Dublin Corporation to speed up their investigations in the matter of Sycamore Road, with a view to having it taken in charge as soon as possible, particularly having regard to the dangerous condition of the road, and to the fact that the local residents have been without necessary services for approximately ten years.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of the 9th instant in which I stated that Dublin Corporation are examining the extent to which the enforcement provisions of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963, may be used in relation to this and other roads. I have requested the Corporation to inform me in due course of the action taken or proposed by them in these cases. At this stage it would not be appropriate for me to urge the Corporation to single out a particular case.
