Vol. 214 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage Priority List.

34.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make available the priority list of major catchments selected by his Department for drainage.

I refer the Deputy to the reply to his question on 8th March, 1961 when this list was published in the Debates, vol. 187, columns 164 and 165.

Does that mean that the list still stands?

That is right.

Might I draw attention to the fact that the Shannon is not included in that list?

As the Deputy is aware, it has already been announced that the survey of the Shannon is to start shortly.

He promised £18 million down there for it.

There was never so much spent on arterial drainage as has been spent by this Government.
