Vol. 214 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Primary School.

122.

asked the Minister for Education (a) the date on which the new primary school for boys was opened in Clondalkin, County Dublin, (b) the capacity of the school, and (c) the number at present on the rolls.

The information sought by the Deputy as regards Clondalkin boys' national school is (a) 28th October, 1963; (b) the school has accommodation for 120 pupils in three rooms; and (c) the average number of pupils on the rolls for the quarter ended 31st December, 1964, was 135.

Is the Minister aware that it is now impossible to get a child into the primary school in Clondalkin and has he any proposals to make to relieve this situation?

There has been an increase in numbers since the question was last raised with me and I am having the position investigated and, if necessary, temporary accommodation can be provided.
