I have approved in principle of Offaly County Council's proposals for a water supply improvement scheme, including extensions for Banagher. Technical details for the filter plant are at present under examination in my Department.
No proposals have been submitted for a sewerage improvement scheme. I understand, however, that the consultant's preliminary report for this scheme is being examined by the county engineer.
