asked the Minister for Local Government how many county councillors represent County Donegal on the county council; if he will state (a) the average number of electors for each seat on the register in 1960, (b) the number of electors now on the register for County Dublin, excluding Dún Laoghaire Borough, and (c) the number of councillors representing County Dublin on the council, excluding Dún Laoghaire Borough; and if he will now take steps to increase the number of county councillors to be elected to the Dublin Council in June 1965.

The membership of Donegal County Council is 28. The average number of electors represented by each county councillor in 1960 was 1,883. The number of electors registered in the 1964-65 register of electors for the county of Dublin, excluding the borough of Dún Laoghaire, is 80,385. The number of members of Dublin County Council representing the part of County Dublin excluding the borough of Dún Laoghaire is 22.
