asked the Minister for Social Welfare how many recipients of disability benefit there were (1) in the country and (2) in the Kildare constituency on 1st February, 1965.

A count of persons in receipt of disability benefit in the State is made only in January and July each year. The number of such persons on the 5th January, 1965, was 52,072, the number in County Kildare being approximately 1,300.
