Vol. 214 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Amendment of Law Relating to Trustees.

27.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Justice whether he proposes to introduce a Bill to amend the law relating to trustees; and, if so, when.

The consolidation and amendment of the law relating to trustees is included in the Programme of Law Reform. The preparation of the necessary legislation will be put in hands as soon as work on more urgent measures is completed.

I am not at this stage in a position to say when it is likely that the legislation will be introduced.

Mr. Ryan

May we understand from "the more urgent work" the Minister refers to that he means to fill the hiatus in the Succession Bill which his colleague introduced.

I refer to complete reform of the administration of our courts.

Mr. Ryan

I take it that having been once bitten, the Minister is twice shy.
