Vol. 214 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin City Parking Meters.

36.

asked the Minister for Local Government what steps have been taken to provide parking meters in Dublin city.

Before parking meters may be introduced in Dublin city, it will be necessary for the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána, after consultation with the Dublin Corporation and with my consent, to amend the Dublin Parking Bye-Laws. The Commissioner has decided to defer further consideration of amending bye-laws until the one-way street system for the central city area is fully defined. It is hoped to have this done in the near future.
