Vol. 214 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Estate.

53.

asked the Minister for Lands when a scheme for the division of the McDonnell Estate, Lisnagarra, Roscommon is to be put into operation.

It is not possible at present to say when a scheme for division of this property will be put into operation but there will be no avoidable delay. Some preliminary enquiries on the ground have, in fact, already been carried out.

It will not be divided this spring?

There is a possibility of it.

If the Minister cannot tell us at this stage whether or not a scheme is ready for a small farm of land——

It is not ready.

Will it be ready in time to implement it?

It would not be right for me to be firm about the date when a scheme would be ready because they vary, considering the local circumstances. Possession was obtained only on 8th March, 1963.

Will the land be let again this year?

Without notice of that question, I could not answer it on the information before me.
