asked the Minister for Finance what proposals are before his Department for (1) new schools and (2) the reconstruction of old schools in County Wexford for 1965.

It is proposed to commence a major improvement scheme at Scoil Phádraig, Crossabeg, this year. Requests for works to the schools at Askamore, Horeswood, Tara Hill, Craanford and Killanne will be investigated and sites for new schools at Carne, Ballyroebuck, Caime, Ballycullane (St. Leonard's), Park, Clougeen, Curracloe, Gusserane and Kilmore will be surveyed this year.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of schools (1) built and (2) reconstructed in County Wexford in 1964, giving the name of the school in each case.

Four new national schools in County Wexford were completed in 1964, namely, Ballyduff, Castlebridge, Screen and Wexford (No. 4). One large improvement scheme—at St. Joseph's national school, Ballymitty —was completed in 1964.
