asked the Minister for Health if he will state (a) the number of medical cards at present issued, and (b) the number of persons covered by these medical cards, in (1) County Kildare, (2) County Meath and (3) County Westmeath.

The numbers of general medical services cards at present current in County Kildare, County Meath and County Westmeath are 7,074, 6,509 and 4,898, respectively. The numbers of persons covered by these cards, that is, holders and dependants, are 23,101, 19,981 and 16,502, respectively.
