Vol. 214 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mountmellick District Court.

52.

asked the Minister for Justice if he has received a request from Leix Solicitors Bar Association supported by the local Gardaí and the District Justice asking for an alteration in the date of the Mountmellick District Court which at present falls on fair day in the town and which is considered most inconvenient for all parties concerned and for the general public and business interests who may from time to time have to attend the Court; and if he will give his sanction to this very reasonable request.

Following consideration of representations from the County Laois Solicitors Bar Association, I have decided to interchange the sitting days appointed at present for Mountmellick and Mountrath. The necessary amending Order is being prepared and I hope to make it shortly.
