Vol. 214 No. 8

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary School.

39.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is hoped to have the new school at Lackamore, Newport, County Tipperary completed so that children of that area can be accommodated there in view of the deplorable condition of the old school.

Due to the contractor's heavy commitments and because of difficulty in securing skilled labour, the progress made with the erection of this school has not been satisfactory. The work is about 75 per cent complete and the contractor is being urged to expedite the remainder of the work. He has undertaken to complete the contract within the next two months.
