Vol. 214 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ninth Round Wage Increase.

18.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for External Affairs the estimated annual cost of the ninth round twelve per cent wage increase in respect of salary and wage earners in semi-State employment under the aegis of his Department; and the number of persons so concerned.

As there is no semi-State body under the aegis of my Department, costs as specified in the question did not arise.

19.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Transport and Power the estimated annual cost of the ninth round twelve per cent wage increase in respect of salary and wage earners in semi-State employment under the aegis of his Department; and the number of persons so concerned.

As the extraction and compilation, from the records of the State companies under the aegis of my Department, of the information sought by the Deputy is necessarily a matter which will take some time, I would ask the Deputy to repeat the question in a week's time.

Will the Dáil still be here in a week's time?
