Vol. 214 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Import of Cake Boxes.

25.

Mr. Belton

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether in view of the fact that Irish carton manufacturers are in a position to supply fully home needs of cake boxes he will say why imports of such boxes by a firm (name supplied) are permitted.

There is no prohibition on the importation of cake boxes, provided the appropriate duty is paid. Licences for the importation free of duty of such boxes are not granted.
