asked the Minister for Local Government what grants are made towards lifesaving activities in the city of Dublin; and if he will give details.

I understand that Dublin Corporation pay annual grants to the Irish Red Cross Society and the Royal Life Saving Society in respect of work relating to the saving of persons from drowning. The amount of the grant is £100 a year, in each case.
