Vol. 214 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tullamore Sewerage Scheme.

40.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction proposals in his Department for the extension of the sewerage scheme in Tullamore, County Offaly, in view of the urgency of this work.

My recommendations on the drainage proposals for the town central area submitted by Tullamore Urban District Council on 21st January, 1965, were conveyed to the council last week. I have informed the council that the preparation of contract documents for the drainage of certain areas of the town may now be put in hand and that the technical data already asked for in respect of the main scheme should be submitted to my Department.
