Vol. 214 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Capital Expenditure on Housing.

9.

asked the Minister for Local Government the total cost to (a) the State and (b) local authorities involved in the implementation of the proposals recently referred to in a Departmental White Paper concerning the provision of adequate housing in the Republic.

Public capital expenditure on housing in the years 1963/64 to 1969/70 inclusive, on the basis of the proposals in the White Paper, is estimated at £134.2 million at constant prices. As the White Paper indicates, it is expected that by far the greatest part of this capital will be provided by the State.
