Vol. 214 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Creamery Suppliers.

25.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in the case where a supplier to a particular creamery has received permission from that creamery to transfer his milk to another creamery, the latter creamery can refuse to accept him as a supplier, particularly in a case where he lives in a locality convenient to it and it is operated by the Company.

While any creamery can refuse to accept milk from a particular supplier if it sees fit to do so, the normal practice is for one creamery to accept a supplier on transfer from another creamery if the supplier produces the written consent of the latter. If the Deputy has any particular case in mind and supplies me with the details, I will look into it.
