asked the Minister for Lands what is the total acreage under forestry in Mayo; and how many workers are employed at present in this county.

The total area acquired by the Forestry Division in County Mayo up to the end of March, 1965 was 31,099 acres of which 21,839 acres were classified as productive and of which 16,645 acres were under woods and plantations. A total of 232 men were employed at forests in the county.
