Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tynagh (Galway) Mines.

13.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when Tynagh Mines, County Galway will be in full production; and if he can give the estimated annual output expected when production starts.

Recently published statements by Northgate Exploration Ltd., of which Irish Base Metals, Limited, is a subsidiary, have indicated that the Tynagh mine is expected to commence production in September, 1965; that full production should be reached early in 1966 and that, at capacity operation, the output of concentrates has been estimated at about 150,000 tons annually.
