Vol. 215 No. 3

Written Answers. - Employment in Leinster Forestry Centres.

22.

Mr. Tully

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of forestry workers in each forest centre in Leinster grouping them in counties the number of workmen in each forest who worked for 200 or more days in the last financial year or in the last holiday year.

The information sought is not readily available in the form requested by the Deputy but the number of men in each of the Leinster counties who qualified for annual leave in 1964 and who would in consequence have worked a minimum of 180 days in the preceding 12 months are as follows: Carlow 44: Dublin 19: Kildare 50: Kilkenny 93: Laois 201: Longford 36: Louth 23: Offaly 84: Westmeath 39: Wexford 237 and Wicklow 439.
