Vol. 215 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Contracts for Drug Supplies.

23.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of recent advertisements appearing in the press seeking official contracts for the supply of drugs to local authorities, and in view of recent reports as to the inferior quality and inadequate potency of drugs imported from certain sources, he will state whether contracts for the supply of drugs from these same sources will in future be accepted by his Department.

All established complaints against an official contractor in regard to the manner in which he has discharged a previous contract or in regard to the quality of a commodity supplied by him are taken into consideration when a question of his further appointment as an official contractor arises.
