Vol. 215 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Post Office.

41.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider reopening Strathsbridge post office, County Donegal; and, should that not be feasible, if he will allow telephone facilities to remain for the use of the residents of the district.

This matter has already been carefully considered but it is not feasible to reopen the sub-post office.

The only satisfactory way of providing a public telephone, in the absence of a post office, is by means of a kiosk, but the use likely to be made of a kiosk would not be sufficient to warrant its provision.

Question No. 42 postponed.
