Personal Explanation by Member.

At column 290, Volume 215, of the Official Report of 28 April, 1965, Deputy Dowling is reported as saying:

. . . not on one single occasion did Deputy Ryan attend a meeting of the Housing Committee or offer one single suggestion . . .

I consider it proper to correct any erroneous impressions which may have been caused by this report. At the time to which the Deputy refers, I was not a member of the Dublin Corporation Housing Committee. I am not now and have never been a member of the Dublin Corporation Housing Committee. My views and those of the Fine Gael group in the Corporation have at all times been made known to the Corporation by the Fine Gael members of the Housing Committee, by written memoranda, and by my statements at the general meetings of the City Council.
