Vol. 215 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aer Lingus Aircraft.

1.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether it is a fact that Aer Lingus (Irish International Airlines) have insufficient aircraft to meet the increasing demand for full jet services on both transatlantic and continental routes.

I am advised that with the recent acquisition of a new Boeing jet aircraft for Aerlínte and the delivery of 4 BAC one-eleven jet aircraft for Aer Lingus the companies will be in a position to offer adequate capacity on both the North Atlantic and the Continental routes to meet the increase in demand expected on these routes.
