Vol. 215 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meat Supplies to Donegal Institutions.

33.

asked the Minister for Health if he will ascertain if any complaints have been received in the past five years regarding the quality of meat supplied to institutions maintained by the Donegal County Council, and the particulars of any action which it was necessary for that County Council to take.

Mr. O'Malley

I understand that this information was supplied to the Deputy at a meeting of the Donegal County Council which he attended on 3rd May. I have no information additional to that furnished to the Deputy and I do not consider that the facts would justify the inquiry suggested in the question.

This information was given to me but the Minister should put it on the records of the House because the question is in relation to an allegation made by the Minister for Local Government during the general election——

The Deputy may not make a speech on every question.

I am asking a question.

The Deputy is not asking any question; he is making a statement.

(Interruptions.)

Mr. O'Malley

One thing about the Minister for Local Government, any allegation——

Question No. 34.

He will deny it in any case.

I have called Question No. 34.
