Vol. 215 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Castle Caretaker.

6.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that there is no resident caretaker at King John's Castle, Limerick which is a well-known historical sight and tourist attraction; that present arrangements whereby access to the Castle may be gained by applying to the local office of the Commissioners of Public Works are completely inadequate; and if he will arrange for the appointment of a resident caretaker who can give tourists a knowledge of the history of the Castle and save them the inconvenience of the present arrangement.

It is expected that a caretaker will be appointed at an early date.

Thank you very much. Will the job be pensionable?
