(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the total payments made in public home assistance by each local authority over the past financial year.

Figures of total payments of public assistance by public assistance authorities for the whole of the last financial year are not available in my Department. The latest year for which figures are available is the calendar year 1964. These figures are shown in a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
