In general, records of staff serving in employment exchanges prior to the establishment of my Department have been destroyed. By chance, however, a local record in Dungloe employment exchange shows that the staff at that office on 14th May, 1937, numbered 28, comprising two employment staff officers, 14 employment clerks, 11 temporary clerks and one cleaner.
