Vol. 215 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aid for County Cork Company.

43.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that Shannon Chicks, Bandon, County Cork were refused £500,000 although promised that money last June by a finance company; and if he will take steps to ensure that a grant or loan from State funds is made available to assist this company.

I understand that the company has indicated that because of credit restrictions on the London money market they are not now in a position to obtain the accommodation they were expecting from a finance company. I have not received any new proposals from the company in this matter.
