Vol. 215 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Letter Box.

60.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that great inconvenience has been caused to the local residents as a result of the removal of the letter-box at Ballybritt, near Roscrea, County Tipperary, which has been there for the past fifty years and was a great service in this area; and if he will now take steps to have this letter-box restored as it is urgently required and there is general demand for it in the area.

The answer to the first part of the question is no. The box was little used and was withdrawn over two months ago when the question arose of replacing the pole to which it was affixed. However, I am having the position re-examined and will communicate with the Deputy when my inquiries have been completed.
